I work with founders at the stage nobody writes case studies about. The messy part. Product, brand, and design, with a particular soft spot for women and Black founders building in tech.
In 2017 I was employee number one at Hello Alice (then Circular Board): the first virtual accelerator built for women entrepreneurs. In its first two years the platform helped founders raise over $20M+ in capital, built a community of 13,000+ female founders across six continents, and was named the fastest-growing accelerator for women and minorities.
A year later I co-founded QReview with my best friend. The pitch was simple: honest, actionable feedback on how inclusive a local business actually is. A world where anyone feels welcome regardless of how they identify. It ran in 20 countries, in 14 languages, and got picked up by The Huffington Post, Daily Dot, and Bustle.
That's been true of my mentoring for years. It's just as true of the companies I take on. I look for founders solving real problems in underserved markets, and I care, specifically, about who's in the room building it. Representation isn't a nice-to-have in the product. It changes what gets built, and who it ends up working for.
Today that's hands-on product, brand, and design advisory for a small number of early-stage teams. Not a portfolio of logos. A handful of founders I actually talk to.

↗"Kevin was essential for the enhancement of our Education Choice and Competition Index (ECCI) at the Brookings Institution. He was able to take our ideas and make them into something elegantly designed and user friendly. He consistently went above and beyond our requests, and his work contributed to the tripled website views of the ECCI over the previous year's release."
"Kevin is an exceptional talent, and an even better person. He has a great sense for visual design, UX/UI and demonstrates keen business acumen. 'Dedicated' and 'hard-working' are not even strong enough adjectives to describe the level of effort that he put into our startup. I believe that Kevin is one of those rare talents who has just started to scratch the surface of his great potential."
